St. James extends a warm welcome to all students, regardless of background, denomination, or how long you’re in Florence. Students bring a unique energy to our community, and we’re committed to providing a supportive, inclusive environment where you can grow spiritually and connect with others.
Whether you’re here for a semester, a year, or longer, we invite you to join us for worship, fellowship, and service. Our community is diverse and welcoming, with people of all ages and from many walks of life. There are plenty of ways to get involved, from spiritual exploration to social gatherings to serving the wider community.
Many students volunteer at our weekly Food Bank, and you’re always welcome to use the lending library in the undercroft.
We understand that student life can be demanding. We strive to be a place where you can find respite, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. Consider St. James your home away from home. We look forward to meeting you.

St. James receives no outside financial support from any organisation or government. We depend on the kindness and generosity of people like you to support our mission and ministry.
